My inspiration comes from nature, from dance of sunshine in the tree branches, from the sound of a creek, from the silent nods of irises in my garden. I never stop admiring our world in all its endless powerful beauty. And you can feel it in my work. The textures, the shapes the colors of my creations come from my very heart.
It is not surprising that I have chosen felting as the method that helps me to design my pieces from the beginning to the end. As I envision a new piece – I start with hand felting the fabric from the fibers I see best fit with my concept to get the right fabric density and weight. I use natural color dyes to introduce colors that exist in nature. The unique patterns come to life as naturally as they should. You will see that my pieces are made without a single seam – they are literally sculpted from fibers.
